Click here for Koko's famous "I've Got a Little List Song",
which people have had lots of fun with for many years.

A lot of interesting artwork has been inspired over the years by "The Mikado", and especially by Koko.
Some of it you saw on previous pages.
Here are some other, often striking examples.

These were little cards once
packed inside cigarette packages.
They both seem to depict Sir Henry
Lytton in two different costumes.
This painting of Sir Henry Lytton
is one of several similar character
sketches made of Gilbert & Sullivan
characters, by an unknown artist.

All three of these are examples of the art of costume designers.

I am not certain if it
is Tweety or Sylvester
playing Koko, but this
is certainly the most
original casting job ever!

And talk about a work of art!
This tiny book, barely 2" tall,
with a mere 25 pages, is hand-
bound in silk brocade, with
tiny woodcut illustrations.
It was written by Pat Baldwin,
and its title is simply - "Koko".
This adaptation of "The Mikado"
can be yours - for a mere $125.
What a little gem!

This is a delightful postage stamp
issued in England, depicting John reed as Koko.
