The Sequel to the Phantom Romance

 

Set shortly after Return of the Jedi. What other secrets did Obi-Wan keep from Luke?

 

Luke wandered through the remains of the Jedi Temple. With the Empire's control gone, he could finally visit the Temple. He was there searching for something, anything that would show why his father fell to the Dark Side. He could see light at the end of the corridor he was walking through. It ended in what looked like it was once a beautiful courtyard. He walked through the courtyard, past a few lone benches left empty years ago. He stopped at the entrance to a long corridor, deciding to go left down the hall. Rooms line the corridors, name plaques still hung by the doors. He began searching for his father's room, but stopped short of finding it.

Through the dust on the plaque he could make out the name Kenobi. He wiped the dust away to see that written on the plaque was "Obi-Wan and Kayla Kenobi"."Kayla..." he whispered questioningly. Was Ben married? So was this just another secret Ben had kept from him. The door was closed tight. Luke ignited his lightsabre and was about to cut through the door, when the door opened slowly. Standing before him was a young woman. A few years older then him, with long sandy blonde hair, and sparkling green eyes. "Who are you?" Luke questioned.

"Moira, Moira Kenobi."
Luke stood silent before her. Did she just say her last name was Kenobi?
"Did you just say Kenobi?"
"Yes, Obi-Wan and Kayla were my parents."
